In my experience selenite is a very popular crystal for many people.  I can understand why selenite is popular as selenite has a beautiful, gentle, angelic and calming energy. Although raw selenite is my favourite, shaped and tumbled Selenite is just as gorgeous and beautiful as well, and has the same amazing vibrational energy. You can work with selenite when you are looking to clear unwanted energies. Selenite is great to cleanse a space as well as, assisting to remove unwanted energetic cords, that may have been placed upon you from others. It is important to avoid placing selenite in water due to this beings vulnerability and brittle texture.  Selenite is aligned to the crown chakra and can assist working with the angelic realm, connecting with a spirit guide or higher vibrational being or drawing down universal energies from high in the cosmos. I love Selenite and I am sure you will too. Once you start working with selenite, you will see how gorgeous, and gentle this crystal is to work with.
