Cleansing and energizing crystals

Cleansing and energizing crystals is a process that is really important however, it's really all about intent. Crystals are very compassionate and sympathetic and will pick up energies from others and within the environment. So, for example if someone was having a really challenging day, and hold a crystal the crystal may hold and store this energy or thought process, in turn passing this energy onto the next receiver.

Here are a few cleansing and energizing methods you may choose to use or you may know some of your own:

CLEANSING:

Smudging: Waving your crystal over your favourite incense or herb allowing the smoke to cleanse your crystals returning them back to their optimum vibration. If you are doing this inside ensure you have a window open so any old vibrations that may be on the crystal can be sent up to the universe to be transformed into positive energy.

Rain: Crystals love the rain, placing them outside, ridding them of any impurities, place them in rivers and streams or in purified water like tank or bottled water, preferably not tap water due to the mineral content. There are some raw crystals that are not able to go into water such as brittle ones like Selenite, Angelite and Dioptase or porous and toxic beings such as Malachite.

Naked Flame: A naked flame such as candles. Waving your crystal over the flame, being cautious not to have the crystal too close to the flame as the carbon print will be difficult to remove from your beautiful friend. 

Earth: Placing your crystal on the earth is like plugging them into their natural power device. You may also like to place your crystal near a tree or under a rock cleansing and clearing returning them to their natural state.

ENERGIZING:

Air: Waving your crystal through the air with a manifestation such as, 'I ask the air element to energize and return you to your highest magnetic charge'. 

Grandmother Moon: Like some of us, crystals get energized in the bathing of the moon energy. It is said to be best under the full moon as this is when the moon is at her highest charge. Placing out for the three days, the day before the full moon, the day of the full moon and the day after the full moon. All moon phases however, are great to charge your crystal friends.

Grandfather Sun: Placing your crystals out in the sun, being aware too much sun may fade your crystals. Also being in your own energy field, you can even rub your crystal between your palms allowing them to absorb your own natural energy.

Earth: Bury your crystals in the earth. It is said crystals can be buried for up to 100 days. Remember to place a stick or object so you remember where your crystals are. Asking your crystal how long they would like to be buried for is also a great way to connect to your crystals and be part of the process.
